Young South Korean men undergo compulsory medical check up to determine if their are fit enough to enroll in military conscription. In South Korea, all able-bodied men must serve at least 18 months in the military. Around 100 men took part on Monday at Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration, the first checkups of the year. Some 240,000 men are expected to undergo the medical examinations this year. "Initially, the thought of having to join the military made me fall in despair.
