Description
Rescuers free 13-year-old Syrian child Riad Al-Batmar in Sanliurfa, a city in Turkey's southeast in which 48 people died and 108 people were wounded after a major earthquake. An estimated ten people, including Riad Al-Batmar and his two siblings, Nur and Meysam, aged 13 to 16, and their father Abdulhamid Al-Batmar, are trapped under the ruins of the "Osmanaga Apartment" building, in the Ipekyol neighborhood of Haliliye district. The rescue teams manage to reach the two other siblings still under the ruins and administer them a serum to keep them alive. Salih Sacakli, among the family members waiting for his relatives to be rescued from the ruins in the same building, says that four of his relatives are still trapped. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
