Despite living on the opposite side of the tragedy-stricken country of Turkey, miners working in the Kozyatagi mines in Zonguldak -- part of Turkish Coal Instution known as TTK -- travelled for approximately 25 hours from the Black Sea cost to Turkey’s southernmost city of Hatay, to help those still stuck under the rubble after Monday's 7.8-magnitude earthquake that killed over 20,000.
