Description
The Lekki port, still under construction, is a multipurpose deep seaport, the largest in Nigeria, and the deepest seaport in West Africa. Located in the Lagos Free Zone, it was inaugurated by President Mohammadu Buhari on January 24, 2023. The approach channel is 11 kilometres long and 16.5 metres deep. The container terminal is built and equipped with the latest rubber tyred gantry and ship-to-shore cranes, aas well as other modern facilities, offering support to West Africa's regional economy.
