At a press conference in Kyiv with Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky says that the frontline eastern city of Bakhmut, where fighting has raged for months, remains a "fortress" which is standing firm in the face of the Russian advance. For his part, Kristersson notes that Sweden will do "everything to support Ukraine" but in a way that "doesn't risk the Swedish ability to defend ourselves" prior to its eventual accession to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
