Nearly 250 people gathered at the church of Oradour-sur-Glane, to pay a religious tribute to Robert Hebras, the last survivor of the Oradour-sur-Glane massacre, who died at the age of 97, on February 11. He was the last witness of the massacre of 643 civilians perpetrated by the SS in June 1944 in this village in southwest-central France. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
