Description
Royal Preston hospital in the north of England is trialling an app developed by a Northern Irish company which uses artificial intelligence to lip-read patients who have had a tracheostomy. Nathan Armstrong, a patient who can only talk by pressing a button on his tracheostomy tube, causing him pain, says the app has had "a big impact" on his life, allowing him to communicate more easily.
