Description
Since last spring, the City hospital in Truskavets, 80 km from Lviv, has been treating Ukrainian soldiers wounded fighting Russia. Training in the hospital gym, Ivan Lazar, who lost his right hand in the Lugansk region, still dreams that he has both of them. "In my dream, I remember myself with a hand" he says. Another patient, Sergiy Stafeyev, a paratrooper whose left hip and leg were shattered in a mine explosion near Volnovakha on February 25 last year, has just started to walk without crutches. While there is still a long way to go for these soldiers, some are already eager to return to combat. "I need to go back to the guys quickly... How long can anyone lie down for?" asks Sergiy.
