Description
"None of the presidential candidates are talking about climate change (...) and that makes me worried," says 21-year-old environmental activist Oluwaseyi Moejoh in Lagos, who will vote for the first time in the Nigerian presidential elections on February 25. As Nigeria continues to struggle with growing insecurity, high cost of living and increasing poverty, many young voters say they are more motivated to have a say about their future leader. Nearly 10 million new voters have been registered for this presidential election-- 84 percent of them young people under the age of 34 -- a key block of ballots in Africa's most populous country.
