On the first anniversary of Russia's invasion, Ukrainians across the country reflect on a year of war. "My child's childhood is over" says Diana, a resident of Kherson, "there is no school, nothing". "Our army liberated us" recalls Iryna, another of those in Kherson, a city occupied by Russian forces until November last year, "our soldiers can't even be compared with what we saw and the Russians that were here". In Ukraine's capital, Kyiv, Tetyana remembers "that on that day (February 24 last year) I woke up to the sound of explosions... I saw how the rockets were falling and everything was burning".
