The president of Brazil's Superior Electoral Court, Judge Alexandre de Moraes, meet with representatives of Brazil's social networks, including Tik Tok, Twitter, Meta, Telegram, YouTube, Google and Kwai, to ask for their cooperation in reducing fake news. He believes that disinformation in social networks triggered riots such as those of January 8, when supporters of right-wing former president Jair Bolsonaro vandalised the offices of the Presidency, Congress and the Supreme Court.
