On an official visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Emmanuel Macron is participating in a Franco-Congolese economic forum with his Congolese counterpart Félix Tshisekedi. He also visited the National Institute for Biomedical Research in Kinshasa, where scientific cooperation agreements between the two countries were signed alongside Jean-Jacques Muyembe, the professor who discovered the Ebola virus.
