Description
Dozens of protesters demonstrate outside Westminster Abbey demanding equal rights for LGBTQ people in African countries which are part of the Commonwealth, as King Charles III attends a service alongside representatives of the 56-member grouping inside.
Charles III, alongside Queen Consert Camilla, Prince William and Princess Catherine, was attending his first Commonwealth Day service as monarch.
The demonstration included protesters from Uganda where lawmakers have introduced legislation to parliament that proposes tough new penalties for same-sex relations in a country where homosexuality is already illegal, defying criticism from human rights groups. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
