Residents in parts of Malawi are dealing with the aftermath of powerful Cyclone Freddy, which hit the small, impoverished nation last week. Torrential rains triggered flooding and mudslides that swept away homes and roadways. “People are gone, things are gone, everything is gone,” says one resident of a hard-hit area.
