South Korean and US militaries carry out drills as part of 'Freedom Shield' exercise, which started on Monday and are set to run for 10 days.
"The ultimate goal is to ensure our inter-operability as a combined element between US forces and then ROKA (Republic of Korea Army) forces that should we ever get called to go to defend South Korea, or to potentially go North, that we are able to work together in a synchronised and effective way," says Lieutenant Colonel Carmen Bucci from the The US 2nd Infantry Division.
