Description
More than 40,000 people in Greece demonstrate across the country on Thursday to express their anger at last month's train tragedy, an incident in which 57 people died. Police say 25,000 people protested in Athens, and around 8,500 in each of the country's next largest cities. "This was the last straw" says Fivos Zandes, one of those in the capital, "we demand the crime isn't covered up, with the government's responsibilities". The crash on February 28 exposed decades of safety failings in Greek railways and has piled pressure on the conservative government ahead of national elections. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
