Description
"We stayed but it is because of the deplorable living conditions that we want to return to our homes": years after fleeing his home, Jean, and his family hope to leave the camp of PK3 in Bria, the largest camp of Internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Central African Republic, located in the north-east of the country. But despite Improvements in the security situation, the lack of humanitarian and financial assistance is making it difficult for for most to go back home. Almost ten years after the start of a bloody civil war, more than 500,000 Central Africans are internally displaced, according to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
