Description
Montenegrins cast their ballots in a presidential contest pitting the Adriatic nation's longest serving leader, Milo Djukanovic, against a range of rivals who hope to shake up the country's political scene. The election follows months of political deadlock. Last August, the government defied a vote of no-confidence by continuing to rule, setting off a wave of protests and calls for snap parliamentary polls. Those on the streets of Podgorica, the Montenegrin capital, have little positive to say. "I'm deeply disappointed" says one, "I no longer trust any of the politicians who are currently on offer."
