Some 45,000 volunteers will be recruited for the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games to carry out tasks including guiding spectators into stadiums and accompanying athletes to their events. "It's the largest volunteer programme ever organised in France," Paris 2024 organising committee head Tony Estanguet explains, adding that organisers have "set a target of 3,000 volunteers with disabilities".
