Beneath a beaming sun and the echoing applause of spectators, a group of women dance to usher in Nowruz, the arrival of springtime in Kyrgyzstan. The backdrop of barbed wire, a watchtower and military fatigues is less welcoming, however -- the dance, after all, is taking place in the Central Asian country's only women's prison.
