Description
Washington is seeking to establish consular access to Evan Gershkovich, the American journalist detained in Russia, the White House press secretary announces. It is "the most important thing (to do) at this moment," Karine Jean-Pierre says. Gershkovich, who writes for the Wall Street Journal, has been detained on suspicion of spying for the US, Russia said earlier Thursday. During her briefing, Jean-Pierre also addresses the crash of two US Army helicopters during a training mission in Kentucky. "we stand with all who are grieving in the wake of this terrible, truly terrible, accident," she tells the media. [COMPLETES VIDI33CD2AE_EN] IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
