Description
Fans pay tribute to Hong Kong pop icon Leslie Cheung on the 20th anniversary of his death outside a hotel where he committed suicide.
The canto pop singer and actor, one of the first local artists to come out as gay in the city, plunged to his death from the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Central, on April 1, 2003, aged 46.
"It is rather rare that there are so many people, including old fans and also new people, who constantly think of him," says Carmon Lo, who came to the memorial with her 18-year-old son. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
