Prosecutor Philippe Astruc says that two new complaints had been lodged following the violent clashes between opponents of giant water storage facilities and police in the French southwestern village of Sainte-Soline. A total of four cases of "seriously injured" protesters have been handed over to the court in Rennes, which will assess "the legality of the gendarmes' actions when they intervene to maintain order."
