Dead bodies lie inside the facilities of penitentiary Guayas Nº1, in Ecuador’s Guayaquil, and soldiers are deployed around the prison after clashes with firearms inside the prison.
"Three PPL (Persons Deprived of Liberty) were injured as a result of clashes between inmates," according to the state agency in charge of prisons (SNAI). Authorities haven't given a death toll from the clashes inside the prison, which is part of a larger prison complex.
