Description
Conservationists have launched a project to create one of England’s biggest native woodlands by planting 100,000 trees in the Yorkshire Dales, in northern England, in one of the UK's largest ever reforesting projecs which will cover an area of nearly 800 hectares, equal to around 1,300 football pitches. Snaizeholme, near the town of Hawes, was covered in woodland centuries ago but the valley is now almost barren. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
