Description
The UK government issues its strongest appeal yet to unionists in Northern Ireland to restore a power-sharing government to the region, where tensions have risen in the wake of Brexit. Northern Ireland Secretary, Chris Heaton Harris, calls on the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) -- its historic ally -- to embrace "real leadership" and emulate predecessors who helped forge Northern Ireland's 1998 peace accord. Speaking alongside Heaton Harris, Ireland's Foreign Minister, Micheal Martin, says "it is no secret that our two government's have not always acted in concert... but I am delighted to say that our partnership is manifestly better now that it has been for quite some time."
