Fox News agreed to pay the voting machine company Dominion nearly $790 million, as a settlement was agreed that avoided the high-profile defamation case going to trial. Dominion sued Fox News, alleging it promoted Donald Trump's baseless claim that its machines were used to rig the election that he lost to Joe Biden. "Truthful reporting in the media is essential to our democracy," Dominion CEO John Poulos tells reporters during a press briefing outside a Delaware courthouse.
