With summer-like temperatures in March and the begining of April, Spain is experiencing an abnormally hot and dry spring. "The drama begins now" says Cayetano Torres, spokesperson for the Spanish national weather office, "it has been a very warm month and has had 36% of the (usual) rainfall". Cristina Fernandez, who manages a drinks kiosk in central Madrid, has been selling unusual quantities of water for the season.
