"This is a big problem" says Petro Potapenko, a Ukrainian farmer, referring to recent moves by Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and, most recently, Bulgaria to temporarily ban the import of grain and other food items from the war-torn country. The decision by some of Ukraine's neighbouring states came after a slump in prices triggered protests from local farmers.
