Description
"This is a big problem" says Petro Potapenko, a Ukrainian farmer, referring to recent moves by Poland, Hungary, Slovakia and, most recently, Bulgaria to temporarily ban the import of grain and other food items from the war-torn country. The decision by some of Ukraine's neighbouring states came after a slump in prices triggered protests from local farmers. "We still have large surpluses of grain" explains Potapenko, "if there was no war and the Black Sea was open, everything would be loaded and sent." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
