Description
"It's a victory, a second victory after the war!" In his studio in a home in Bondy, near Paris, Yoro Diao, 95, is preparing to leave France for good with eight other former Senegalese riflemen. This is the end of a long battle with the administration for these former soldiers from the French colonies who fought in Indochina and Algeria and who will no longer have to spend six months of the year in France to receive their old-age benefits. A few days before their departure, they were even received by the President at the Elysée Palace. But this good news has come "late", because today there are only a few dozen former riflemen still alive. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
