French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna meets Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev at the presidential palace in Baku on the first day of a visit to the Caucasus, amid raised tensions with Baku's arch-foe and neighbour Armenia.
Colonna's trip comes as both Western nations and Russia -- which has traditionally mediated the conflict -- accused Azerbaijan of violating the Moscow-brokered ceasefire that ended a 2020 war with Armenia. IMAGES
