US basketball player Brittney Griner says "digging deep" and "looking at photos of my family" helped her get through detainment in Russia, where she was jailed for nearly 10 months in 2022. "In a moment where you kind of want to give up, you look at the photos, it kind of brings you back," Griner says in her first press conference since being released as part of a prisoner swap last year. Speaking in Arizona as she prepares to resume her career with the Phoenix Mercury, Griner also unveiled Thursday the "Bring Our Families Home" mural, depicting wrongfully imprisoned Americans abroad.
