Paraguayan presidential candidate for the ruling right-wing Colorado Party Santiago Peña closes his campaign in Asuncion, asking his supporters to go out and vote, promising he will "improve the lives" of Paraguayans. The vote comes at a difficult time for the party that has governed almost continually since the 1950s -- through a dictatorship and since the return of democracy in 1989 -- with several of its leaders recently sanctioned for graft by the United States.
