Description
The UK army's Chief of the General Staff, General Sir Patrick Sanders, greets soldiers arriving at Pirbright Army base in southern England ahead of the coronation of King Charles on Saturday May 6, an event he describes as "the biggest operation of its kind for 70 years". Thousands of soldiers from 38 Commonwealth nations will be involved in the coronation, which will mix tradition and some new elements introduced by the King. "The participation is a little bit smaller, but it's still 10,000 people" Sanders explains, "it's still going to take us the better part of an hour and a half or two hours." IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
