As the whistle blew on Napoli's 1-1 draw at Udine late Thursday, Naples erupted into a collective roar of joy as their team, Napoli, won its first Serie A title in 33 years. It was the team's first Serie A title since the days of Diego Maradona.
"We've been waiting 33 years for this moment, and it has arrived, fortunately. With so many sacrifices, with all honesty and so much strength, because Naples is strong, both the city and football," said Giuseppe Cozzella, a shopkeeper.
