People across Britain have held street parties and lunches to celebrate the coronation of King Charles III, with thousands of communities organising events. Two street parties in Chiswick, west London, held parties decked with Union Jack bunting and featuring home-made food shared between neighbours. On Grove Park Road vintage London buses were brought in as decoration and to help close the street to traffic, while on Burnaby Gardens residents shared food, held a cake-baking competition and decorated their homes with a coronation theme.
