Landslides triggered by heavy rain have wreaked havoc in the village of Bushushu, one of the many villages devastated by floods that have killed hundreds of people in South Kivu in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo. "I have lost 12 members of my family, I have buried 5 bodies so far and 7 others cannot be found," says Darcein, a survivor. Eastern DR Congo's disaster came two days after floods killed at least 131 people and destroyed thousands of homes in neighbouring Rwanda, which lies on the other side of Lake Kivu.
