Description
In the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo the villages of Nyamukubi and Bushushu, which were devastated by floods that killed more than 400 people, are cut off from the provinces of North and South Kivu after the disaster. The floods have cut off National Road 2, which connects the city of Goma to Bukavu. The only access route is Lake Kivu. Now canoes are used to transport both the living and the dead.
