Description
The four astronauts who will take part in NASA's first human mission to the Moon in more than 50 years, including the first woman and Black man to voyage into deep space, hold a press conference with NASA administrator Bill Nelson outside the US Capitol in Washington, DC. The three Americans and one Canadian will become the first astronauts to venture that deep into space since the historic Apollo missions ended in 1972, as part of a 10-day Artemis II mission scheduled to circle the Moon in November 2024. "We're going to see the Earth from the perspective of the Moon. It's going to be something... it will touch our souls," astronaut Jeremy Hansen tells reporters. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
