Three Guatemalan presidential candidates hold rallies ahead of the June 25 national election, already marred by fraud claims. Among the 23 candidates are social-democrat former first lady Sandra Torres (2008-2011) and conservative Zury Rios, daughter of former dictator Efrain Rios (1982-1983). The candidacy of right-wing businessman Carlos Pineda, a leading contender for the country's top job, was provisionally suspended by a court over alleged infractions during a candidate proclamation assembly in November 2022.
