Russian nationals fighting on Ukraine's side hail as a "success" a brazen mission to send groups of volunteers across the border into southern Russia and back. The Russian nationals' headline-grabbing stunt embarrassed the Kremlin but also raised questions about possible escalation of the war beyond Ukraine's borders, involvement of far-right Russian nationalists and how this would affect Western allies' readiness to supply Ukraine with weapons.
