Description
In the Rwandan capital Kigali, at the Nyanza-Kicukiro genocide memorial, Naphtali Ahishakiye, executive secretary of Ibuka, an umbrella association of genocide survivors, reacts to the arrest of one of the last four fugitives wanted for their role in the 1994 genocide of the Tutsis in Rwanda. "It's a great relief for Ibuka, for the survivors of the genocide who really had this thirst for justice for years and years," says Ahishakiye. The suspect, Fulgence Kayishema, was arrested in South Africa and is accused, along with other individuals, of allegedly murdered more than 2,000 Tutsi men, women and children who had taken refuge in a Catholic church.
