Retail investors in Hong Kong may soon be able to buy popular cryptocurrencies like bitcoin at government-licensed exchanges, thanks to new rules meant to bolster the city's standing as a digital asset hub. "With this new licence, we actually provide our services to retail investors globally, which I think, obviously, really helps Hong Kong's position in the longer term, to maintain its edge as a premier financial centre in the region," says HashKey Group's executive president Michel Lee.
