STOCKSHOTS of Mount Everest, which stands at 8,849 metres (29,032 feet). On the border of Nepal and China and climbable from both sides, it is called Chomolungma or Qomolangma in Sherpa and Tibetan -- "goddess mother of the world" -- and Sagarmatha in Nepali, meaning "peak of the sky".
