Description
In the Pas-de-Calais, France inaugurates the first factory to produce batteries for electric cars on its soil, the "gigafactory" of Automotive Cells Company (ACC), a joint venture between Stellantis, TotalEnergies and Mercedes, based in Billy-Berclau. "An extraordinary but difficult project", says ACC CEO Yann Vincent, "which will help us to regain our sovereignty and become independent when it comes to supplying these batteries."
