Description
Australia's federal parliament house in Canberra is lit up with projections of Indigenous artwork as the government moves ahead with a proposed referendum on recognising the country's Indigenous people in its constitution.
If passed, Indigenous Australians -- whose ancestors have lived on the continent for at least 60,000 years -- would have a constitutionally enshrined right to be consulted by the government on laws that impact their community. IMAGES
