Description
In Bangui, Central Africans react after President Faustin Archange Touadéra announced he would call a referendum on a new Constitution that would allow him to run for a third term, which is prohibited under the country’s current laws. "President Touadéra was elected by the Central African people to defend our interests, which he does not do, so if this constitutional amendment can allow him to stay in power for a third term in this case I am against," says one man. The date of the referendum is set for 30 July. IMAGES AND SOUNDBITES
