Every morning, Rokia Koumaré, a 10-year-old from Mali, boards a canoe that takes her to school on the island of Dialagoun.
Located in the heart of the capital city, this island school educates 218 children living on the shores and islands of the Niger River. "In 2017, we created a learning centre to provide a little schooling for the children, because we actually saw that they were not going to school," says the coordinator of the school, Marie Garnier.
