The largest offshore wind farm in Scotland will be capable of producing enough electricity for 1.6 million households when its 114 turbines operate at full capacity, according to its operator. Total Energies has a 51 percent stake in the project, with UK company SSE Renewables 49 percent. Total Energies head of UK offshore energy development, Julia Rose, said Seagreen was among the first of the company's projects that is generating in offshore wind and that it marks an important step for it "on the journey to net zero".
