"We got to safety (...) but it was more fear than harm," says a resident of Riviere-Pilote, Martinique. The island has been downgraded from a red to an orange weather alert as tropical storm Bret moves further away from its coastline, off which a catamaran was shipwrecked at the height of the cyclone, according to the prefecture.
